Here are a few questions for you and your family to consider:
John concludes his letter(s) by assuring us that we should have confidence. Read verses 13-21 and see how many things we should have confidence about and why.
In verses 14-15, what do you think it means to ask "according to His will"?
How important is it to you to have that confidence that God hears and answers?
Look at the "we know" statements in verses 18-20 and think about how each of those statements finds applications for you.
The last verse says, "Dear children keep yourselves from idols". Does that command have any relevance for us, since we don't have idols?
